To: Dr. Patel (Orthopedic Specialist)

Dear Dr. Patel,

I am writing to provide MRI findings for your patient, Mr. Daniel Foster, a 28-year-old footballer with a recent right knee injury.

MRI sequences revealed a complex tear of the medial meniscus involving the posterior horn, associated with mild joint effusion. The anterior cruciate ligament is intact but shows mild edema suggestive of a low-grade sprain. The collateral ligaments and posterior cruciate ligament are preserved. Articular cartilage is well maintained, with no bony contusion or fracture seen.

Clinically, Mr. Foster experienced acute pain and swelling following a twisting incident during training. He continues to report locking, instability, and limited flexion despite conservative measures. His past medical history is unremarkable.

The imaging confirms a meniscal tear, correlating with his symptoms. Orthopedic intervention may be warranted for definitive management.

Yours sincerely,
