Case Notes:

  • Patient: Miss Anna Roberts, 22 yrs

  • Complaint: Right knee pain after basketball injury

  • Hx: No prior knee issues

  • Exam: Swelling, tenderness, limited flexion

  • Meds: Occasional paracetamol

  • GP requests: X-ray right knee (AP & lateral) to rule out fracture/patella dislocation.

Dear Radiographer,

I am referring Miss Anna Roberts, a 22-year-old student, for knee imaging following an injury while playing basketball.

She reports pain, swelling, and reduced flexion of her right knee. Clinical suspicion includes fracture or patellar dislocation. No relevant medical history is reported.

Please arrange X-ray (AP and lateral views) of the right knee for diagnostic clarification.
