Re: “Snowy” — 2-year-old rabbit with dental malocclusion

Dear Dr. Morris,

I am referring Snowy, a 2-year-old male rabbit, for ongoing dental management due to malocclusion and recurrent molar overgrowth.

Snowy presented with drooling and difficulty eating. Examination confirmed overgrown incisors and sharp molar spurs. X-rays showed mild jaw misalignment. His teeth were trimmed, and pain relief was initiated; however, long-term correction is required.

Please assess the need for periodic dental trimming or surgical adjustment to maintain comfortable feeding.

Yours sincerely,
Dr. Leonard Hu, DVM
